Coffee Recipes Mocha
Blended coffee not coming out right?
i’m trying to make blended coffee (a blended mocha to be specific) but it’s not coming out right, it’s always super watery, like the ice is melting when i make it? everything i use is refridgerated so it’s not from heat, maybe it’s the recipe? (2 cups of skim milk, really strong coffee, chocolate syrup, and 1.5 cups of ice) do you know what I’m doing wrong or any suggestions? also tell me your recipes for blended mochas

The skim milk itself is kinda watery. What I do is chill my coffee and milk in the freezer before blending it so I don’t need that much ice. Heavy cream does help it a little.
What I do to avoid the icyness of blended coffee drinnks is to blend cold coffee/espress substituting the milk part with coffee ice cream or frozen yogurt. It’s the best way to get the coffee shop texture. You don’t need much like when you make milkshakes. Just enough to give you your milk and the right thickness. It’s really good and you can make it lowfat.
