Easter Eggs Silk Ties

What are the odds? Seriously, I'm going to try something Martha Stewart egg color and if you know or have done this, please correct errors as I could. I went to the goodwill and the Army Hi me and silk ties with patterns. I'll have links and cut and wrap around a raw egg or uncooked. Then cut an old cotton shirt and wrapped in silk tie that surrounds the egg. Then they tied a rope around the web and place the egg in boiling water. I boil the eggs and pull the rope and let it cool down and the exact reason for the tie is supposed to come into the egg. I'll give this a go tomorrow, but wondered if I miss some thing. A girl told me how, if I have information second hand. Thank you.
